About the team
You will be part of the Bombardier Aviation Product Development Engineering team. The organization is responsible for bringing new aircraft business programs to their entry-into-service and supporting current programs.
This position is a technical position working on a Realtime flight simulator that supports the aircraft design and flight testing process. The simulator is tailored to reconfigurability to support the Bombardier Family of aircraft existing and future platforms.
What are your contributions to the team?
- Learn simulator architecture and its functions
- Integrate software and hardware into the aircraft flight simulator or rigs
- Develop platforms for testing and verifying the aircraft flight simulator or rigs
- Conduct and participate in technical and planning reviews
- Develop processes and tools for the test rigs framework
- Document validations, analyses, processes, and present results
How to thrive in this role?
- You have completed a Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or electrical engineering.
- You have knowledge of the MATLAB simulation tool.
- You have a good knowledge of C/C++.
- You have a background in real-time systems.
- You are comfortable working in a Linux/real-time Linux environment.
- You have experience or knowledge in interfacing real-time simulation with external devices such as aircraft units.
- You have knowledge of Ethernet UDP programming.
- You are comfortable physically manipulating computer equipment.
- You have knowledge of flight simulator visual systems (an asset).
- You understand aircraft communication protocols such as ARINC 429 and AFDX (an asset).
- You have strong communication and writing skills in English, and knowledge of French is considered an asset.
