What are your contributions to the team?
- Coordinate and actively lead the setup, integration, operation and evolution of test benches dedicated to Research and Technology development and demonstration activities, including control-system rigs, simulation environments, experimental platforms and EcoJet flight-test-related assets.
- Work with Bombardier technical experts in many aerospace engineering disciplines, and with external research partners, to define and run technology development activities on these assets.
- Define and maintain a R&T labs roadmap with the Bombardier aircraft design and development engineering community.
How to thrive in this role?
- You have a university degree in engineering, preferably in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, software engineering or a related discipline.
- Holding a college diploma in aeronautics, mechanical engineering or electronics is an asset.
- You have 10 to 15 years of experience in the aerospace industry or in a complex engineering environment, including significant experience with test equipment, test benches, experimental systems or lab environments.
- You have experience in the design, assembly, integration, operation, troubleshooting and management of engineering test assets.
- You have a good understanding of aircraft systems, multidisciplinary integration, development testing and/or technology maturation.
- You have experience with simulation models, control systems, hardware/software interfaces, microcontrollers, instrumentation or automated test environments.
- You are comfortable with part design, rapid prototyping, 3D printing, the fabrication of simple tooling, and the fabrication of wire harnesses and electrical chassis to support laboratory activities.
- You are rigorous, autonomous, technically curious and able to structure work in an environment where needs may evolve quickly.
- You have excellent analytical, problem-solving and technical diagnostic skills.
- You can interact effectively with professionals from various technical backgrounds and adapt your communication to your audience.
- You demonstrate leadership, technical coordination, mentoring and knowledge-transfer skills.
- You value harmonious teamwork, collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- You are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
