The Aftermarket Strategy and Product Planning group seeks to further consolidate the position of Bombardier as a leading business jet manufacturer and aftermarket services provider. Our vision is to deliver industry leading innovative solutions and services that offer unmatched customer experience to grow Bombardier’s Aftermarket business. We aim to deliver a holistic customer experience encompassing the physical product, software, data, digital, and services. To do so, we seek to develop and offer the most competitive Aftermarket portfolio of products.
- Be the expert for contracts with our partners, including contract negotiations.
- Continuously monitor and regularly report on the status of partnerships to functional and executive leaders.
- Identify strategically and commercially beneficial partnerships for a strong digital ecosystem of partners and achieve long-term customer loyalty and profit growth.
- Support the strategic direction for a holistic vision of the customer experience journey encompassing the physical product, software, data, digital, and services.
- Be responsible for the aftermarket business strategies, market positioning and the introduction of new services to the market based on business intelligence.
- Capture “Voice of the Customer” in internal and external discussions, including competitor benchmarking, gathering customer feedback in focus groups and surveys, and in using this analysis to develop plans for new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish development priorities based on evolving customer needs, a detailed understanding of competitor's products, industry trends, technical feasibility and emerging technologies related to business aircraft.
- Develop and implement company-wide go-to-market strategies that maximize market impact.
How to thrive in this role?
- You have an Engineering degree with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
- You have the ability to work cross functionally both internally and externally with key stakeholders such as Product Owner, Legal, Procurement, Marketing and Executive leadership teams.
- You are familiar with contracts and terms.
- You have effective negotiation skills, particularly in establishing or renewing contracts.
- You have a deep understanding of the business aircraft aftermarket, including for example mods and upgrades, parts, services and related digital products.
- You have prior experience in digital product development, management, and/or business development.
- You have prior experience in program management, product strategy, or market analysis.
- You have a business degree (strong asset).
- You have a passion for the aviation industry, particularly business jets.
- You have the ability to manage initiatives of a technical, financial, marketing and general business nature.
- You have strong presentation skills, capable of presenting complex ideas to a senior audience in a compelling manner.
- You have the ability to influence and work with little formal authority.
- You have an acute critical and strategic thinking, and a taste for in-depth analysis.
- You have strong business & financial acumen, easily switching between micro and big picture view.
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit that constantly challenges the status quo.
- You have a dedication to 100% quality.
- You have strong oral and written English communications skills and functional French communication skills are desired.
