What are your contributions to the team?

  • Work closely with Defense Engineering functions (Performance, Systems, Avionics, Structures, Stress, Electrical, Interiors, Methods, Production, Quality, Certification) to produce thoroughly integrated solutions, aligned to customer requirements, acting as the focal for defense bids and proposals. 
  • Participate in program and project reviews with senior management to provide visibility to stakeholders and management.
  • Lead internal, Customer and supplier technical reviews/meetings with the support of subject matter experts ensuring intent of meeting is achieved and clear actions are noted and followed up on. 
  • Draft Statements of Work and Compliance Matrices, in line with the technical requirements.
  • Coordinate engineering resources to execute the development of the bids, identifying risks and facilitating the resolution of issues.
  • Develop comprehensive bid packages for Defense customers including integrated technical solution, estimated budget, schedule and risk identification, while understanding inputs provided by engineering functions. 
  • Review Proposals for alignment to technical bids.
  • Responsible to engage and coordinate the supplier activities during the bidding phase
  • Develop, improve and automate reporting and visibility tools.
  • Support service requests dealing with missionized aircraft.
  • Develop strong partnerships with Engineering and non-Engineering groups.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.  PMP certification is an asset.
  • You have a minimum of 8 years of experience in aerospace and/or technical project management in the aerospace industry.
  • You have a strong technical knowledge of aircraft and/or aircraft systems integration.
  • Knowledge of aircraft special mission modifications is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Flight Testing is an asset.
  • Experience in Proposal writing is an asset.
  • You show strong leadership skills, judgment, flexibility and the ability to influence others.
  • You are results-oriented, able to meet aggressive deadlines, comfortable working under pressure and you have a sense of urgency.
  • You have great deal of initiative and a passion to be part of a winning team, and you have strong teamwork and people skills.
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills in English & French.
  • Experience with PLM tools such as Siemens Teamcenter is an asset.
  • You have superior skills in MS Office including MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
  • You may be required to travel and work extended hours when required.
  • Be eligible for ITAR and CGP clearance.
  • Demonstrated integration experience within aerospace and defense will be considered a strong asset.
