Overview

The SAP/ERP IT Manager (Corporate Functions) is accountable for leading end-to-end delivery, operational stability, and continuous improvement across corporate function solutions and services, including Finance, Human Resources, Global Security, Legal, Compliance, and Marketing. The role provides day-to-day leadership across project execution, incident and demand management, process standardization, cross-process and cross-application integration, vendor coordination, and sustainable business adoption. The preferred candidate will bring experience working in a manufacturing corporate-functions environment, where business processes are closely connected to operational discipline, financial controls, workforce processes, compliance obligations, and enterprise-wide integration needs.

What are your contributions to the team?

Corporate Functions Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead the Corporate Functions portfolio, representing stakeholders across HR, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Marketing to deliver standardized, value-driven outcomes.
  • Manage day-to-day execution across progress, resources, workplans, RAID logs, dependencies, and quality of deliverables.
  • Drive alignment between business priorities, enterprise application capabilities, technology roadmaps, and delivery commitments.
  • Track delivery against commitments and proactively drive corrective actions where risks, delays, or quality concerns emerge.

Delivery, Governance & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate decision packages, gap disposition recommendations, project status, risks, and escalations for review and approval through governance forums.
  • Work upward with Business Process Owners, functional leaders, and IT leadership to communicate progress, risks, issues, and decisions clearly.
  • Act as the bridge between delivery teams, vendors, system integrators, and the broader business community.
  • Promote strong execution discipline across workplan management, scope control, quality assurance, and readiness for deployment.

Incident, Problem & Operational Stability Management

  • Own value-stream-level incident and problem management in collaboration with BIS Operations, service providers, and delivery partners.
  • Serve as the functional escalation point for major incidents impacting Corporate Functions.
  • Ensure timely incident resolution, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action follow-through.
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce incident recurrence, improve service stability, and strengthen operational resilience.
  • Ensure business readiness for go-lives, hypercare, steady-state operations, and process ownership transfer.

Demand Intake, Prioritization & Portfolio Visibility

  • Act as the primary BIS focal point for intake, qualification, and prioritization of Corporate Functions demand.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to clarify business value, urgency, scope, funding needs, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
  • Work with PMO and governance forums to prioritize demand against capacity, funding, strategic alignment, risk, and business impact.
  • Maintain clear reporting on the demand pipeline, status, delivery outcomes, risks, and benefits realization.

People Leadership & Vendor Management

  • Provide leadership, coaching, direction, and prioritization to internal team members and delivery partners supporting the portfolio.
  • Build a collaborative operating model across business functions, IT, vendors, and system integrators.
  • Set clear expectations for delivery with respect to quality, accountability, documentation, service performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Support capability development and succession planning across critical Corporate Functions knowledge areas.

How to thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, IT, or a related field.
  • Between 10 to 12 years in HR IT, enterprise applications, SuccessFactors or equivalent SAP environments
  • 5+ years of PM Manager or Senior Manager-level experience, or equivalent, leading complex cross-functional delivery and operations in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA is an asset, including exposure to S/4HANA integration, process standardization, deployment, support, upgrade, or transformation activities.
  • Experience with SAP Finance, SuccessFactors, SAP security/authorizations, SAP integrations, reporting/data flows, or other SAP Corporate Functions capabilities is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices, incident/problem management, demand governance, release management, change enablement, and service transition.
  • Fluency in English; French is an asset.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Corporate Functions in a manufacturing, aerospace, industrial, or similarly complex enterprise environment (considered an asset).
  • Exposure to HR, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, or other Corporate Functions processes in a global enterprise context (considered an asset).

Now that you can see yourself in this role, apply and join the Bombardier Team!
