Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect

What are your contributions to the team?

•    Design, develop, and implement cloud-based solutions that are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
•    Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies and services to support the needs of the organization, new projects and cloud infrastructure evolution.
•    Develop cloud-based architectures and roadmaps that align with the overall business strategy and goals.
•    Define and enforce cloud-based security policies and procedures to protect the organization's assets and data.
•    Collaborate with vendor partners, other IT teams, stakeholders, and business units to ensure that the cloud infrastructure meets their needs and requirements.
•    Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
•    Identify and troubleshoot issues with cloud-based systems and services, and work with other teams to resolve them.
•    Ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment. 
•    Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and trends, and recommend improvements to the cloud infrastructure as needed.
•    Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other IT team members, including cloud engineers and administrators.
•    Collaborate with other Solution Architects in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions
•    Act as a cloud “evangelist” to business units, other IT teams and external groups collaborating with Bombardier.
 

How to thrive in this role?

•    You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineer or related field
•    You have 10+ years professional experience in an IT role 
•    You have a minimum of 5 years experience in designing and implementing cloud-based architectures, including cloud storage, networking, security, and compute on AWS platform. Experience of multi-cloud platforms integration preferred.
•    You hold certification(s) in cloud solution architectures
•    You have practical knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation, and configuration management tools, such as Chef or Ansible.
•    You have a functional understanding of cloud-based automation and orchestration tools, such as Jenkins or Kubernetes.
•    You have experience with agile and DevOps methodologies and tools.
•    You have experience in optimizing costs for cloud infrastructure.
•    You have experience with cloud-based security concepts, such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
•    You have experience of various cloud migration of enterprise systems.
•    You have functional knowledge of infrastructure management, identity management, virtualization and hosted services
•    You have experience in industries relating to industrial product design, manufacturing and aftermarket services would be an asset.
•    You have experience in developing integrated solution for Salesforce, SAP, O365 and PLM environment would be an asset.
•    You are a creative problem solver with strong troubleshooting skills that can develop a plan, take ownership of tasks and is focused on delivering
•    You have leadership and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (Senior Executives, IT management, Database administrators and Data Scientist). 
•    You are proficient in English and French both verbally and written.
