What are your contributions to the team?

•    Support stress in-service repair activities.
•    Perform various stress analyses on repairs, including static strength, fatigue/durability, damage tolerance, and finite element modeling (FEM) for multi-platform aircraft programs (Challenger and Global);
•    Prepare stress reports, including static strength and damage tolerance analyses, for compliance purposes;
•    Carry out stress calculations to assess design solutions and support repair trade studies;
•    Review repair engineering drawings and actively contribute to the development of in-service repair solutions by collaborating with various disciplines and stakeholders while considering airworthiness regulations;
•    Produce and develop repairs that comply with applicable certification and airworthiness requirements, as well as Bombardier methodologies;
•    Interpret and apply applicable airworthiness regulations, certification requirements, and industry standards issued by aviation authorities such as Transport Canada (TCCA), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). 
•    Support certification activities by ensuring structural repair solutions demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements and approved design practices. 

How to thrive in this role?

•    You hold a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering;
•    You have a minimum of 25 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry;
•    You have experience in Aircraft Structural substantiation analysis: Static, Fatigue/Durability, and good knowledge and experience in structural Damage Tolerance Analysis;
•    You have experience using Patran/Nastran, Nasgro, CATIA V5;
•    You have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office;
•    You are a confident, knowledgeable and energetic person with excellent communication and listening skills, able to work in a team environment;
•    You demonstrate initiative, a strong sense of responsibility and good engineering judgment and a customer oriented mindset.
•    You have a thorough understanding of aircraft certification processes, airworthiness requirements, and applicable regulations from TCCA, FAA, and EASA. 
•    You possess working knowledge of relevant certification specifications and advisory materials, including FAR/CS Part 25 requirements related to aircraft structures.
