What are your contributions to the team?
• participate in strategic meetings as a business partner for Bombardier’s operational teams;
• draft agreements and support your internal clients in negotiations with suppliers;
• act as a reliable and knowledgeable partner of choice to help elaborate and develop commercial and contractual strategies;
• be asked to provide guidance and legal opinions on different contractual provisions and contract related issues which impacts Bombardier’s day-to-day relationships with its suppliers;
• be involved in claims management, including reviewing and negotiating settlement agreements;
• proactively manage risk through training and coaching of your business partners, as well as through the creation and implementation of efficient contract governance processes; and
• help to find and integrate best industry practices for negotiating and drafting aerospace procurement contracts.
How to thrive in this role?
• You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation;
• Experience in the area of supply chain and procurement will be considered an asset;
• You are a member in good standing of a North American Bar for a minimum of 7 years. Training or experience in common law will be considered an asset;
• You have excellent drafting and communication skills, with the ability to work fluently in both French and English (spoken and written); Spanish is an asset.
• You have sound judgment, coupled with good business sense, allowing you to provide efficient and value-added advice and innovative solutions; and
• You have the ability to operate and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
