What are your contributions to the team?

  • Serve as the Cabinet Engineering focal point between Bombardier multidisciplinary teams and suppliers.
  • Guide suppliers in understanding and adhering to Bombardier processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for product and process improvements, including cycle-time reduction, manufacturability enhancement, and weight optimization.
  • Review specifications and technical documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment across all deliverables.
  • Monitor potential technical issues, including critical design concerns, risks, and integration challenges, and escalate as required.
  • Support and participate in weekly engineering and quality meetings to address project priorities and technical concerns.
  • Develop and propose design solutions in response to change requests, including RFQs, IASs, and RFCs.
  • Support Program Change Requests (PCRs) by coordinating technical integration meetings, conducting analyses, and defining technical proposals that meet program requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and provide optimized impact assessments for RFQs and customer-driven changes.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, cross-functional teams, suppliers, and senior management to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues.
  • Create and develop 3D concepts and models to support change management deliverables, including PCRs, RFQs, and VROM activities.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • You have 7-10 years relevant technical experience in aircraft interiors completions. Cabinet experience is an asset.
  • You have solid experience with Catia/Enovia and Teamcenter/NX (GSD, Assy, Part Body, Drafting, etc.)
  • You have good knowledge of MS Office.
  • You are well organized and focused on projects.
  • You have good oral and written communication skills in French and English.
  • You like to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, you adapt easily to changes, and customer satisfaction is your number one priority.
  • You can understand complex engineering issues and are innovative in problem solving.
  • You must be a self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and under a minimum of supervision.
