What are your contributions to the team?

Sous chef Customer Experience

Reporting to the Manager, Customer Experience, and under the guidance of the Executive Chef, the sous-chef  supports all aspects of food preparation and customer-related meal services. This role is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, assisting with inventory and ordering processes, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience through efficient and professional food service operations. The position also provides support for special events and collaborates closely with team members to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.Your main responsibilities will be to assist in planning, prepping and cooking meals for customer-related deliveries.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Customer Experience, while operating under the leadership of the Executive Chef, your main missions will be:

 

  • Ensure the preparation of dishes (mise en place, cooking, presentation) in accordance with techniques and special requests.

 

  • Rigorously apply HACCP hygiene standards and food safety rules.

 

  • Place orders, receive deliveries, control product quality and manage storage.

 

  • Ensure the cleaning of your workstation and equipment at the end of each service.

 

  • Assist other team members when needed.

 

  • Support occasional special events as needed.

 

  • Assist in inventory tracking and adhere to budget.  

How to thrive in this role?

Desired profile

  1. Education: Diploma in cooking or equivalent experience
  2. Experience: A minimum of experience in a similar position desired
  3. Skills: Mastery of cooking techniques, different cooking methods and à la minute presentation, pastry experience an asset
  4. Qualities: Rigorous, speed of execution, team spirit and good stress management during service
