About the team
The IT Procurement Agent assists the Bombardier Information Solutions (IT) Organization to meet its objectives thru efficient execution of the procurement process, from the RFI/RFP/RFQ stage straight through to contract execution. The IT Procurement Agent is responsible for the delivery of specified products and/or services from qualified subcontractor or vendors at the most favorable prices and terms. The IT Procurement Agent should have knowledge of the IT landscape and have the ability to enter into negotiations with IT suppliers with experience in reviewing contract clauses, terms and conditions, establishing pricing, contract drafting, and be responsible for any supplier management to ensure successful delivery of projects/services.
What are your contributions to the team?
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Invite, assess, and award/recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and develop strategies to realize savings.
• Ensure that risk management and compliance standards are rigorously and consistently applied across all contracts with our supply base;
• Negotiate price reductions with suppliers, commercial T&C (terms and conditions) agreements and maintain relationships with the supplier.
• Support in the application of contractual remedies against material breaches and the interpretation/application of various contract clauses.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and management.
How to thrive in this role?
• Hold a university degree in Business Administration or equivalent, and preferably one (1) year of pertinent IT experience.
• Understand legal terminology and contracts interpretation; you have the ability to draft and to manage IT contracts.
• Have general understanding of IT environments, projects and operations.
• Have strong skills in communication and in developing good client relations.
• Demonstrate leadership and flexibility with strong team spirit.
• Have strong negotiation, research and analytical skills related to financial, business and technological data.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using SAP.
• Result oriented, ability to prioritize tasks and committed to meeting deadlines.
• Are able to work day-to-day in both English and French, including when reviewing/editing contracts.
Please note: you must be able to work on-site at least two (2) days per week at our Montreal facility, sometimes more, as per the applicable policy and the team's schedule.
