About The Role
The Supply Chain Agent (Contract Management Agent) in BIS (IT) Procurement is accountable to manage large global contracts with global strategic BIS suppliers across Bombardier Aerospace The key focus of this role is to lead the commercial relationship with the suppliers and to ensure that all supplier services and obligations are delivered according to the contract. He/she works closely with the BIS teams (Enterprise Services, Value Chain, Projects and others), Finance and Legal in leading resolution of commercial escalations in case of service deficiencies and serves as a central point of information exchange amongst several functions within BIS and IGS (Indirect Goods and Services). The Contract Management Agent ensures a close alignment of the Bombardier and BIS strategy with the strategy of the key suppliers to benefit from supplier investments into new technologies.
He/she provide informal guidance or occasionally provide on-the-job training to new team members. The role impacts the performance of the department and closely related teams by contributing to or support of functions and the business strategy area of the department.
A critical success factor is to contribute to cost reductions by getting most value out of the supplier contracts and by avoiding additional cost.
What are your contributions to the team?
Manage overall supplier relationship
- Establish adequate governance structures on a global space
- Continuously validate supplier performance of contracted services and obligations
- Review contract commercials and forecasts
- Address structural and process issues in the collaboration with the supplier
- Review supplier strategy and ensure strategic alignment with BIS, IGS and Bombardier overall
- Perform Executive Review Meetings with BIS/IGS Leadership team and Executive Account Management
- Lead the commercial relationship with the suppliers and to ensure that all supplier services and obligations are delivered according to the contract
- Collaborate with Legal and Finance in case of disputes
Validate requests for service adjustments and perform contract changes
- Work with BIS to define service adjustments (additions, reductions or changes)
- Lead the change process to incorporate the service adjustments into the contract with support of Legal, Finance and BIS
- Perform contract renewals, changes, claims or terminations
Perform audits and benchmarks
- Manage usage of the audit rights to validate supplier compliance with security and other guidelines
- Perform regular service and price benchmarks to identify cost reduction opportunities
- Report on audit and benchmark results to BIS and IGS leadership team
Monitor fulfilment of Bombardier obligations
- Monitor invoice payment status and take corrective actions in case of discrepancies
- Review regularly status of Bombardiers project or service obligations and trigger actions, if necessary
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a bachelor's and/or master’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Business Law, IT and/or have extensive experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain
- You have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience IT contract management/ IT procurement (an asset)
- You have experience with managing IT outsourcing contracts
- You have solid IT knowledge related to Application, Infrastructure, Workplace and Networking services
- You have experience within a global sourcing environment and with Service Integration Interfaces
- You understand legal terminology; ability to draft clauses would be considered (asset)
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
- You are able to work effectively in English and French on a daily basis
- You demonstrate strong communication abilities
- You are results-oriented, analytical, innovative and a team player
Note: you must be able to work at one of our Montreal sites at least two (2) days per week, sometimes more, as per the applicable policy.
