In your Technical Expert, Engineering role, you will

•    Lead and coordinate aircraft level Interiors-related complex troubleshooting forensics with multiple disciplines (internally and externally) from originating problem definition to problem resolution. 
•    Capable of concise and complete problem definition statements.
•    Capable of conducting Root Cause Analysis, identifying true source, and producing necessary forensics artifacts. 
•    Capable of engaging multi-stakeholder specialists, to an agreed technical plan & conclusion. 
•    Participate in continued process improvement with respect to aircraft Interiors build. 
•    Capable of leveraging product/process improvement initiatives to the betterment of the Interiors product and production environment.
•    Capable of devising new approaches and applying existing criteria in a novel way to improve efficiency.
•    Capable of anticipating clients needs in a predictive manner in order to mitigate production line stoppages (i.e., Proactive resolution versus reactive resolution behavior).  Identifies short, mid to long term solutions to address the need.   
•    Capable of presenting “winning solutions” effectively to senior management.
•    Work to resolve systemic in-service Interiors issues affecting continued airworthiness and customer acceptance.
•    Capable of supporting and providing critical product awareness inputs to in-service engineering team.
•    Educate others within the group and wider stakeholder communities on technical decision making and influence.
•    Capable of mentoring and coaching peers via specifics tasking execution.
•    Capable of mentoring and coaching peers for mid and long-term career development.
•    Influence KD strategy and objectives.
•    Capable of supporting special requests from KD SMEs and Fellows as required. 

As our ideal candidate

•    You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering in a recognized University.
•    You have at least 11 years or more of relevant Integration experience.
•    You have experience on at least 1 development program. 
•    You have robust knowledge of Aircraft Interiors. This includes Seats/Divan, Cabin Management and Entertainment Systems, Monument functionality and buildup and Cabin periphery Geometric Tolerancing.
•    You have a good working knowledge of varnishes and other finishes, and composite manufacturing and repair.  
•    You have basic Electrical & Aircraft Communications Knowledge. 
•    You have basic Flammability (FAR 25.853) Knowledge. 
•    You have an excellent comprehension of design, compliance, airworthiness, production, testing and troubleshooting requirements documents. 
•    You have good knowledge of Part 25 certification process.
•    You have a solid understanding of civil aircraft certification rules, demonstrated experience in supporting certification findings of compliance.
•    You have strong oral presentation, ability to communicate complex issues to a diverse stakeholder community, including technical writing skills.
•    You have mastered the ability to influence and work with minimum formal supervision.
•    You have sound engineering judgment and problem-solving skills, you are responsible and accountable, with a positive “can do” attitude, and can positively interact, communicate, and coordinate activities with peers, management, collaborators.
