In your role, you will

 

  • Contribute to the evolution of Bombardier's technology strategy in aircraft design and development, including to the Ecojet research project.
  • Contribute to the management of the R&T budget with Finance, Bombardier management and other key stakeholders.
  • Setup and maintain industrial and academic partnerships necessary to achieve R&T objectives.
  • Elaborate project proposals including for funding agencies and contribute to management of R&T projects, interacting with collaborators, NPO, consortiums, government agency and external auditors for reporting and administrative purposes.
  • Contribute to management of the portfolio of research collaboration agreements, including negotiating new agreements and manage their execution.
  • Contribute to the management of the portfolio of university research projects sponsored by Bombardier.
  • Deploy and improve processes and tools for the management of the R&T portfolio.
  • Ensure robust governance of the R&T portfolio execution and development.
  • Represent Bombardier in aerospace innovation networks.
  • Interact with Bombardier management and engineering experts to achieve your mandates.
  • Coordinate Bombardier’s participation in Research & Technology consortiums, as needed.

As our ideal candidate

 

  • You have an engineering background, preferably a master's degree in aeronautics.
  • You have more than 12 years of relevant experience in aeronautics engineering
  • You have experience working with multidisciplinary and technically complex projects in the aeronautics industry.
  • You have strong knowledge of research collaboration agreements and funding programs.
  • You want to shape the future of aviation and explore multiple facets of technology development.
  • You are a team player.
  • You share objectives with your business partners and put people first.
  • You are open-minded, curious, and look for opportunities to develop new competencies.
  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You understand business priorities and manage your tasks accordingly.
  • You adapt easily to a changing environment and lead change.
  • You have very good communication and negotiation skills, with a diplomatic approach. You interact easily with external partners.
  • You present concisely and clearly and adapt your communication to your audience.
  • You work well with senior management and professionals with diverse profiles.
  • You have experience in project management, particularly in engineering technology, and mastery of Power BI and Excel are strong assets.
  • You are fluent in both English and French
