Technical Expert - Project Engineering - Research & Technology

The project R&T team is responsible for engineering project management of technology demonstrators and early phases of new aircraft developments. 

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Lead the planning and execution of large-scale R&T initiatives 
  • Define and own the strategic roadmap for major technology streams, ensuring alignment with long-term strategy 
  • Establish project governance, resource strategy, and execution frameworks for large-scale R&T initiatives 
  • Own the completion/execution of highly complex projects within budget; justify deviations and lead recovery actions 
  • Manage interactions between different functional teams and projects across different maturity levels 
  • Anticipate and manage critical risks, interdependencies, and mitigation strategies  
  • Lead discussions with internal stakeholders, partners, suppliers, and external collaborators  
  • Provide clear visibility and reporting to management on project status, risks, and strategic decisions 
  • Mentor and act as reference in resolving complex project management issues, fostering best practices in R&T project management 

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have a bachelor’s degree engineering.  
  • You have 10+ years of experience in aerospace industry, including experience in engineering project/program roles 
  • You demonstrated strength in aircraft-level / cross-functional scope definition, top-level schedule definition, cost definition and budget ownership 
  • You possess a deep understanding of technology maturation strategies (TRL) and/or aircraft conceptual development and system integration 
  • You are able to balance innovation with execution discipline 
  • You have strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities 
  • You communicate effectively at all organizational levels, including executive leadership 
  • You strive for harmonious cohesive teamwork. 
  • You have knowledge of Microsoft Office such as, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint or SharePoint.
