What are your contributions to the team?
· Researching and reviewing applicable Engineering documentation and other approved technical data from multiple sources.
· Writing clearly and concisely structured information within an SB or between multiple SBs.
· Preparing lists of parts, wiring processes, materials and tooling required to perform the SB implementation.
· Creating or revising part(s) Condition of Supply (COS) documents.
· Occasionally support on-site Service Bulletin proof installation/validation (may require travel).
· Providing support or information to internal customers (Engineering, Technical Support group) and external customers.
· Participating in the SB peer review process.
How to thrive in this role?
· Holds a college diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, preferably in Avionics.
· Possesses prior experience as a technical writer. Expertise in service bulletin (SB) writing is highly desirable.
· Demonstrates the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a hybrid work environment (minimum two days per week in the office).
· Exhibits excellent writing and verbal communication skills in English. Strong proficiency in both written and spoken French would also greatly simplify our day-to-day interactions with supporting groups.
· Is exceptionally detail-oriented and adapts to managing time-sensitive issues effectively.
· Experience with Simplified English is advantageous.
· Proficient in reading and interpreting Engineering documents, including wiring diagrams and schematics, drawings, specifications, and maintenance manuals/publications.
· Shows strong command of Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with MS Power Tool is an asset.
· Strong level of knowledge and experience of SGML/XML authoring tools, such as ArborText Adept Editor, Contenta, or Adobe FrameMaker.
