In your role, you will

  • Support Global Aircraft (5500/6500/7500/8000) Propulsion, Fuel & Pneumatics Systems Engineering Team responsible for delivering highly effective and timely engineering support to the build and testing of the Production aircraft for HP & LP Ducting, AMS, ECS, Pressurization, Powerplant, APU, FIDEEX, Fuel & FTIS
  • Provide timely engineering-guided support for root cause identification of systems engineering issues encountered during system installation, ground & flight Functional Testing Procedures
  • Witness system functional testing and conduct technical-engineering investigations on Propulsion and Pneumatic systems related issues, analyze and develop solutions/recommendations and reports.
  • Compose RSIs and provide engineering disposition to RFCs, RNCs, and Supplement 2s
  • Review functional test engineering requirements and ensure translation into mature functional tests
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to support engineering related  technical investigations and define required design changes
  • Track and ensure successful implementation of systems installations and modifications
  • Work with the product team to assist with technical proposal activities, including preparation of written material and presentations. Recommend and review engineering related  corrective actions and design changes
  • Develop good working relationships with various departments within BA and with suppliers

As our ideal candidate

  • You have a Bachelor of Engineering Degree and eligibility for Professional Engineer registration. AME license is an asset
  • You have experience in providing engineering support to Final Assembly/Production Line
  • You have 10 years’ experience in aircraft Propulsion and/or Pneumatic systems (HP & LP Ducting, AMS, ECS, Pressurization, Powerplant, APU, FIDEEX, Fuel & FTIS)  
  • You are conversant with design, qualification, and certification test requirements of Propulsion and/or Pneumatic systems
  • You have flexibility to travel and work outside normal hours
  • You are familiar with Part 25 certification requirements and advisory material.
  • You possess strong integration skills, in both system partner management and system technical integration
  • You are familiar with Microsoft Office software tools
  • You have strong communication skills, ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
