What are your contributions to the team?

  • You will be responsible for painting aircraft parts and sub-assemblies.
  • You will prepare surfaces to be painted by sanding, steaming, cleaning and recoating as required.
  • You will coat the area of parts as required by painting or stripping with appropriate materials.
  • You will prepare and operate paint application facilities and equipment.
  • You will select and mix appropriate paint according to manufacturer's specifications to meet job requirements.
  • You will set up and use spray gun for proper application of paints as required.
  • You will assist and/or train others, as needed, in the performance of their duties.
  • You will care for and maintain paint application equipment in good repair.
  • You will maintain order and cleanliness, under the 5's methodology.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have a minimum of 3 years of related painting experience in the aerospace or automotive field.
  • You hold experience with standard painting equipment: paint guns, sanding equipment, double action orbital sander and common hand tools.
  • You have a high school or technical degree.
  • You hold knowledge of applicable manufacturer's standards and company procedures governing the care and treatment of aluminum.
  • You have the ability to wear a respirator and related Personal Protection Equipment. 
  • You have the ability to work from drawings or printed instructions, including application and masking areas.
  • You have flexibility in the work area to manage priorities according to production schedules.
  • You have the ability to communicate directly and openly with the team leader and operations leader.
