In your role, you will:

- Complete design and stress analysis of structural repair schemes for damaged in-service aircraft in accordance with Regulatory Body (TC, FAA, JAA etc.) and Bombardier Aerospace requirements
- Select structural configurations and materials (including both metallic and composite) that combine to produce economic repair schemes, while at the same time taking into account the effects of static, fatigue, fail safe requirements and damage tolerance
- Work effectively in partnership with members of the Customer Response Centre to provide coordinated responses to operator queries
- Design and develop In-Service modifications based on Operators requests and recurring fleet issues
- Be responsible for the development and/or revision of Structural Repair Manuals
- Perform on-site damage surveys of immobilized aircraft (International travel may be required) and make recommendations regarding airworthiness of damaged aircraft and requirements for temporary repairs
- Be responsible for the development, composition and approval of Structural Repair Manuals


As our ideal candidate,

- You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a preferred 5 years experience in the design and/or stress analysis of aircraft structure.
- You have have excellent oral and written communication skills
- You are able to work under minimum supervision in an extremely fast paced team oriented environment.
- You possess a solid background in aircraft stress analysis and structural design. (Experience with CATIA V4/V5 for drafting, solid modeling and FEM analysis would be an asset.
- You are a team player with initiative, a strong sense of responsibility and good judgment.
- Shift work may be required to ensure 24/7 support of operators around the world
- Ability to travel (including internationally) on short notice is required
