The rotational program will allow you to discover multiple engineering domains, while acquiring a diverse skillset within the aerospace industry. It offers a specialized career path designed to accelerate your professional development and provides a unique experience geared towards achieving excellence.    

 

As a new graduate, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects with dynamic teams in a stimulating environment. You will be coached by experienced engineering professionals, supported by a mentor, and guided by our inspiring business leaders. Are you ready for takeoff?      

 

As part of this Engineering Career Accelerated Program (ECAP), you will have a chance to participate in engineering and project management roles in a range of functions supporting Bombardier Flight Test, Bombardier Defense and Aftermarket. Subject to your interests and aptitude this will help accelerate your career within Bombardierand determine which path offers you the most potential.

You’ll have the opportunity to grow in one of the following four streams:

Structure: Learn all about the many aspects of aircraft design that set Bombardier ahead of the competition. Apply design, material selection and stress analysis principles to aircraft structures.  


Core Function Rotations (Six months in three of the following functions) 

  • Structures Design 
  • Stress 
  • Methods 
  • In-service Support 


Function Rotations (Three months in two of the following functions) 

  • Project Management 
  • Loads 
  • Liaison 
  • Material & Processes 

 

Mechanical Systems: Mechanical systems offer specialties at the core of aircraft flight. Become a key player in aircraft propulsion or an expert in mechanical and powerplant systems. 
 

Core Function Rotations (Six months in three of the following functions)  

  • Flight Test of Mechanical and/or Propulsion Systems 
  • Systems Design/Modifications for Defense Missionization 
  • In-Service Engineering 
  • Methods 


Function Rotations (Three months in two of the following functions) 

  • Flight Operations 
  • Instrumentation 
  • Projects Management 
  • Powerplant 
  • Experimental 


Avionics and Electrical Systems
: Learn all about the cockpit and cabin systems that pilots, cabin crew, and passengers rely on. Build expertise in avionics, wiring, instrumentation, and electrical systems.

 

Core Function Rotations (Six months in three of the following functions) 

  • Electrical System 
  • Avionics System 
  • In-Service Engineering 
  • Instrumentation and Ground Station 
  • Cabin Systems 


Function Rotations (Three months in two of the following functions) 

  • Project Management 
  • Certification 
  • Reliability, Maintainability and Safety (RM&S) 
  • Human Factors 
  • Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS) 
  • Flight Operations  
     

Flight Test: Gain end-to-end expertise in flight testing, including campaign planning, flight test vehicle and rig development, test execution, data collection, and post-test analysis. 

 

Core Function Rotations (Six months in three of the following functions)   

  • Flight Operations 
  • Flight Sciences 
  • Avionics System 
  • Mechanical Systems 
  • Instrumentation and Ground Station 
  • Project Management 


Function Rotations (Three months in two of the following functions) 

  • Structure 
  • Methods and Logistics 
  • Experimental 
  • Control Laws and Stability & Control 
  • In-Service Engineering 

 
Remark: Definition of each stream rotation is subject to change.

  • Conferences and meetings with Executives & Specialists

How to thrive in this role?

  • Per US ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) Requirements, must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).  
  • You are able to travel to Canada  
  • You have less than 2 years of post-graduation work experience.  
  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or another related field) completed in 2025 or will be completed by May 2027. 
  • You have a passion and unrelenting desire to learn about aviation 
  • You have an innovative mindset and are eager to take on new challenges 
  • You are a collaborative team player who strives for success 
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
