In your role, you will:

- Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements

- Perform supervisory responsibilities, for example/hire, disciplinary actions, PMP, and professional development

- Provide capacity planning/scheduling functions for the repair station, for example, staffing forecasts and hanger plans

- Interface with management in support of the RFP process​​​​​​​

- Coordinate department activities for the proper integration of their functions with data processing, planning, and production control activities

- Oversee production planning department and process used to provide work packages and work flows for each aircraft

- Provide guidance and monitoring of progress on major systems project

- Oversee, develop and/or coordinate readiness plans for new customers as required by assigned site(s)

- Responsible for staff development and training

- Leads and directs a group of two or more employees for given projects or tasks

- Supervises efforts and provides technical guidance on complex issues

- Schedules aircraft operators into the service center for maintenance, modifications, and service bulletin/letter compliance (Includes airframe, avionics, engines, interior and paint).

- Coordinate outside services with vendors to ensure downtime quoted will allow all requested work to be accomplished

- Keeps current knowledge of the quality inspection requirements that could affect a work scope maintenance event or the ability of the service center to work on a scheduled aircraft

- Work with Sales and Operations team to not overload or underutilize resources or hangar capacity

- Maintain and communicate S&OP data for the BAS network

- Must ensure daily effective communication with General Manager, Operations manager and Project Managers

- Stay up to date in work aircraft to ensure any schedule changes are considered when scheduling other aircraft

- Review proposal to ensure all required quality gates are met

- Responsible for continued development, implementation, and maintenance of the facility’s schedule, including capacity planning and customer proposals.

- Ensure policies and procedures, technical standards and methods, and priorities are achieved with oversight by upper management.

Physical Demands:

- Physical demands with activity or condition existing a considerable to moderate amount of time include typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), climbing stairs/ladders/scaffolding, crouching, reaching, grasping, carrying, operation of motorized vehicle, standing, balancing and walking

Materials:

- Considerable to moderate use of general office supplies (e.g., paper, correction fluid, markers, tone, etc.)

Tools:

- Considerable to moderate use of keyboard equipment (e.g., adding machines, calculators, computer keyboards and terminals, and typewriters) and office equipment (e.g., fax machine, photocopier), ear protection, hand/arm protection, and eye protection

Working Conditions

- Considerable amount of work performed in general office environment

- Overtime may be required

- Overnight travel may be required

- Occasional to rare exposure to seasonal weather

- Occasional exposure to aircraft engine noise and fumes

- May be required to attend meetings before/after scheduled hours

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- 3 -5 years related experience in an aircraft service facility with 3 years progressive supervisory experience working in Aviation Services Industry

- Bachelors degree in Business or Aviation Management or equivalent experience

- Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and web-based applications

- Working knowledge of FAA and Federal Aviation Requirements

Additional experiences a HUGE plus:

- Working knowledge of process improvement methodology and application (e.g., Six Sigma)

- Working knowledge of customer’s needs from a service center

- Working knowledge of airline operations and flight schedule issues

- Thorough knowledge of planning and scheduling systems

- Thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs

- Thorough knowledge of data security systems as required by assigned site

- Business writing skills necessary to create various reports and correspondence

- Solid verbal and written communication skills

- Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate work processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, email, and web-based applications

- Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate workload of assigned area and employees within a multiple project setting

- Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees, management, and contractors
