We are currently looking to recruit for a Diagnostic Concept Engineer (m/f/d) at our location in Hennigsdorf, Germany.

The Diagnostic Concept Engineer will develop the Diagnostic Concepts for Platform/Product/Project on a vehicle level. The person should be able to define and to specify Diagnostics as a non-safety relevant system to collect, store, analyze, visualize and transfer diagnostic events.


- Manage the technical interfaces to all stakeholders like RAM/LCC, TCMS, CTC, field support, functional design, subsystems and Services with the clear interface to the customer;

- Interaction with safety, reliability. availability and maintainability, concept definition of all functionalities (e.g. data log, counter), diagnostic data definition, architectural concept and validation aspects;

- Create diagnostic concept document;

- Define prognostic needs (features, signals, counters etc.) on board and on the ground to support CBM (condition-based maintenance);

- Elicit, verify, derived and allocate a set of requirements (Legislation / Project / Product) regarding diagnostic;

- Define requirements for diagnostic event lists (TRDs);

- Review functional design (FVDS) for failure messages requirements and ICDs with System Engineer and supplier;

- Verify level of the diagnostic with FMECAs;

- Develop test specifications and review tests reports;


- Engineering Degree is required;

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in various projects in Engineering, coming from rail/automotive/aerospace/defence;

- Experience in diagnostics (diagnostic, prognostic, maintenance);

- Fluent English (any other languages would represent an advantage);
