We are currently looking to recruit a Global Commodity Lead Buyer HARNESSES & E-CABINETS (m/w/d) in Hennigsdorf, Germany.

YOUR TASKS

To create, maintain and drive the deployment of BT Global Supply Chain (GSC) Sourcing Strategies until supplier selection, working closely together with the Regional Commodity Buyers and the BT CTO Teams for Standardization on Vehicle & Sub-system Platforms.

Actively support the Bid process, negotiate the key contracts and establish frame agreements with suppliers across all Regions.

To contribute and sustain the optimization of TCO of our products through best-in-class Supply Chain and Supplier Relationship Management.

Deliver Sourcing Strategies:

• Create purchasing leverage and gain from synergies across divisions.

• Develop Commodity TCO, benchmark and intelligence.

• Contract Bombardier Transportation Standard Sub-systems.

• Prepare & present Commodity presentations.

• Align early sourcing plans with CTO vehicle Platforms prior to Bid Phase.

Develop ‘best-in-class’ Supplier Base & Performance:

• Optimize supply base.

• Supplier performance monitoring of Global Master Vendors (GMV)

• Supplier Relation Management with Global Master Vendors (GMV

Lead Supplier Selection during Bid phase:

• Validate Commodity Sourcing Plan with bid team.

• Support tender/bidding process for key bids.

• Validate Procurement BB inputs for the Commodity.

Manage material cost reduction activities:

• Deliver Commodity Should Cost.

• Implement Frame agreements for Bombardier Transportation Standard Sub-systems.

• Deliver Commodity Should Cost.

• Negotiate best terms and conditions (T&C’s) for GMV contracts or correct MV sourcing mandate allocation.

• Support GMV claims.

Network Management; Communicate & share information and best practices:

• Build Bombardier Transportation Commodity Network external, cross divisional, cross functional & coerce cooperation wherever needed

• Perform regular reviews of Strategies, Sourcing Decisions and network strategic actions.

• Ensure 2-way communication with Regions/Business Units.

Qualifications

• MBA, BA, Engineering degree.

• Typically more than 5 years experience in purchasing related role, ideally with >2 years in a strategic sourcing role.

• Management skills within matrix organizations.

• Financial awareness, in particular, experience in cost structure analysis, cost control activities, target settings.

• Specialized or cross-functional knowledge / relevant experience required by the position/role or advanced knowledge in a specialized role for the product and/or commodity.

• Fluent in English, German is an asset.
