What are your contributions to the team?
The KAIZEN Continuous Improvement Intern position aims to support the optimization of organizational performance through the systematic application of operational excellence methodologies and tools. Key responsibilities include:
- Actively participate in and support various initiatives aimed at improving the value stream across the business, ensuring efficiency and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Apply and further develop knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, Gemba Kaizen, and Theory of Constraints (TOC).
- Participate in and support the implementation of continuous improvement methodologies focused on waste elimination, process variability reduction, and operational performance enhancement, prioritizing areas with the greatest potential for optimization in costs, quality, and productivity.
- Support the assessment of the Operational Excellence System maturity level in collaboration with Operations Directors.
- Strengthen workplace organization and efficiency through the proper implementation and monitoring of 5S principles.
- Support training activities related to the Bombardier Operational Excellence System and performance management processes.
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge and experience
Mandatory: You must be in the final semester of your degree program or have graduated within the last year (July 2025).
- You have a degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Management.
- You hold theoretical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement systems such as PDCA Cycle, A3 Thinking, 5S Principles, Standard Work, Problem-Solving Methodologies, Kaizen Event Methodology, Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma DMAIC, and Improvement Kata.
- Intermediate English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking), with the ability to maintain basic conversations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI (macro programming knowledge is desirable).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
