What are your contributions to the team?

Support the company's community affairs program, team and activities.
Liaise with Industry and Government Affairs internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor and report on relevant government committee proceedings, providing timely and concise summaries to internal stakeholders.
Develop one to two medium or long-term policy-oriented research projects.
Contribute to the coordination of ongoing industry events and site visits.
Assist with managing and processing sponsorship requests.
Organize meetings and prepare briefing materials.
Provide ongoing office administrative support.
 
During your internship, you will learn: 

Gain thorough knowledge on the legislative activities and public policy developments across Quebec, Ontario, the federal government and key foreign jurisdictions.
Develop your written and oral communication skills.
Participate in thoughtful and engaging files and discussions.
Adapt to new teams and work environments.
Learn to be proactive and manage priorities and the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

How to thrive in this role?

Be enrolled in a recognized university program with a specialization in political science, public administration, international relations, social sciences, or a related discipline.
Demonstrate knowledge of the Canadian political system.
Bring experience in the private sector, government relations, or similar sectors.
Ability to conduct research, reporting, and content development.
Adapt to a dynamic and evolving work environment.
Communicate fluently in both English and French, orally and in writing.
Engage with social media platforms (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) for monitoring and interaction.
Ability to monitor Canadian and international news media for developments in government, public policy, industry, and issues relevant to organizational priorities. 
Use tools like Power BI, SharePoint, Outlook, and Asana (an asset).
Work both in-office and remotely, as required.

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
