What are your contributions to the team?

  • Collaborate closely with Materials & Processes (M&P) engineers across Environmental, Core, and Aircraft Completion Engineering.
  • Support Environmental and Chemical Engineering team in database development and chemical substance data management.
  • Develop test plans, coordinate testing with internal and external laboratories, analyze results, and prepare technical test reports.
  • Contribute to environmental regulatory compliance and banned/restricted substance substitution projects to ensure Bombardier products meet applicable international environmental regulations.
  • Address day-to-day technical challenges and contribute to long-term projects spanning multiple M&P disciplines, including metallic materials, coatings, sealants, and surface treatments.
  • Develop and maintain project plans to support the timely execution and completion of technical projects.
  • Identify, manage, and communicate project risks and issues, ensuring timely escalation when required.
  • Prepare and present project status, technical findings, and recommendations to senior specialists and management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including departmental processes, tool development, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Actively participate in team building and knowledge-sharing activities.

How to thrive in this role?

•    You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Materials, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. 
•    You have a solid understanding of materials science fundamentals, including metallic materials, polymers, composites, and chemical processes. 
•    You are proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook; knowledge of Power BI is considered an asset. 
•    You have strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. 
•    You are proactive, results-oriented, and motivated to take ownership of your work. 
•    You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French.

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
