What are your contributions to the team?
During your internship, you will contribute to:
• Help develop and validate various software tools developed with the Advanced Design department
• Develop conceptual design tool
• Participate in the Multidisciplinary Optimization tools development
• Benchmark disciplinary environment with state-of-the-art research
• Participate in feasibility and trade studies of new aircraft design software
During your internship, you will learn:
• The importance of multidisciplinary design optimization tools in the design of new products
• To use different programming languages and development environments
• How to participate in the early phases of the development of new aircraft concepts
• To work as a cohesive team with experts from different technical disciplines
How to thrive in this role?
What we are looking for:
• You are currently enrolled in a university level aerospace engineering program or equivalent (e.g. mechanical engineering, computer engineering, computer sciences, etc.)
• You have completed at least two years of the program
• You show a keen interest in aerospace in general and aircraft design in particular
• You show a keen interest for software development, with a good knowledge of the Python programming language. Familiarity with dash is an asset;
• You are familiar with other programming languages (C/C++, Matlab, Fortran)
• You are motivated, curious and independent
• You are familiar and comfortable with Microsoft Office

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. The base salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $17.75 to CAD $31.00 per hour. The applicable base salary will be determined based on various criteria, at Bombardier’s sole discretion, such as the candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
