We are currently looking to recruit a Commissioning Engineer / Technician (Inbetriebnahme Techniker). Though the team is based in Kassel, due to the nature of this position you can be located anywhere in Germany.

YOUR ROLE

Responsible for providing new & existing locomotive stock the appropriate commissioning & support after repairs have been undertaken. This will involve working with internal Bombardier stakeholders as well as external customers, throughout Germany.

Your Tasks

You will review diagnostics, order repairs where necessary, check functionality on completion of repair and then return the locomotive stock to the operator.

You will thoroughly document the process, you will participate in the preparation of test specifications and instructions and will audit those functional tests, once completed.

Qualifications

You will have previous experience within the rail industry and will be capable of reading technical drawings and documentation.

You will have completed some form of electrical engineering training though a university degree is not essential. Some knowledge of mechanical engineering would also be beneficial.

Though you will be working independently, you are part of a larger team and the ability to communicate well with other parts of the business and external customers is important.

You will need a full driving licence to be able to travel to customer locations at sometimes short notice and be fluent in German.
