What are your contributions to the team?
- Provide Business Partner financial support to Functional Directors and Leaders including management reporting and analysis, review and assessment of headcount, overtime, operating expenses, and other finance related activities.
- Participate in and support confidential financial/analytical activities influencing operational decision making.
- Complete all monthly/quarterly financial activities and/or financial reporting for assigned functional areas, including assisting senior financial analysts as required.
- Prepare and monitor budget/forecast(s) for assigned business areas. Monitor actual versus budget variances on a monthly basis and analyze trends.
- Work with business to identify, track and manage risks and opportunities to committed budget/forecast.
- Support the development and implementation of enhanced tools and processes including Power BI and participate in S4 HANA transition.
- Provide internal/external audit support including ensuring ongoing compliance to internal controls as required by OSC.
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or in any related field and/or enrolment/completion of professional accounting designation (CPA)
- You have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Cost Accounting or similar financial analyst experience.
- You have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of SAP, Powerpoint and Power BI.
- You have strong planning and organizational skills to coordinate workload around multiple activities.
- You have the analytical and judgment skills necessary to evaluate alternatives and formulate recommendations in support of management decision-making.
- You have the interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other business areas.
- You have superior verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all organizational levels.
- You have a process improvement mindset and competency.
