What are your contributions to the team?

Our Finance Team provides daily support to the Operations Business team and Financial consolidation for Toronto Site Green Aircraft.  As a Finance Business Partner, we work with Operations on actual financial performance and in the development of Budgets / Forecasts / Targets.

 

During your internship, you will contribute to:

  • Support reporting and analysis of actual results for overhead expenses, headcount, and overtime on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Support Operations and Finance teams in preparing monthly accruals for expenses and other direct costs, including subsequent follow up.
  • Consolidate weekly performance reporting data to provide visibility of actual hours incurred by aircraft and other KPI data and trend analysis.
  • Support with preparation of quarterly forecasts working with the Finance and Operations team members to consolidate input and provide overall captions.

During your internship, you will learn:

As a Finance Intern you will be part of the Finance team supporting the Toronto aerospace manufacturing site in preparation of weekly & monthly reports using Application such as Excel, SAP ECC / S4 HANA, EPM / BPC, and Power BI. Develop an analytic and understanding for manufacturing challenges through tracking and analysis Learning Curves, Overhead and KPI’s vs budget / forecast. Perform audit processes to ensure compliance of Internal Controls with physical performances of Inventory Cycle Count and Fixed Asset verification. Develop communication skills and working relationships by attending weekly meetings with the Finance and Operations Teams to discuss manufacturing Learning Curve improvements and financial performance.

What we are looking for:

  • Studying in the field of Business, Accounting, Finance or Commerce
  • Have strong skills in Excel, SAP ECC / S4 HANA & EPM / BPC, Power BI is an asset
  • Be able to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as being a team player ready to support your colleagues.
  •  Be self-motivated and able to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
