Development and Implementation of a Framework to Automate Loads Analysis Processes
Bombardier is a global leader, creating innovative and game-changing planes. Our products and services provide world-class transportation experiences that set new standards in passenger comfort, energy efficiency, reliability, and safety. We are a global organization focused on working together with a team spirit.
Our team
The Loads & Dynamics department plays a crucial role in maintaining aircraft safety and performance during flight operations. We are responsible for aircraft certification, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, along with the creation of computational models to assess load cases that drive aircraft structural design and the assessment of its aeroelastic stability characteristics.
Your boarding pass will include…
- Conferences about Diversity & Inclusion
- Meet an executive
- Lunch & Learn
- Conferences about Bombardier (Business jets)
- Virtual visits of the Bombardier sites (Global Completion Center & Challenger Plant)
- Intern’s committee
- Bombardier Academy of Learning
What are your contributions to the team?
- Modernizing the Processes in Loads Analysis and support the team by improving automation on a variety of aircraft loads analysis processes, including weight and centre of gravity analyses, flight simulations of Loads and static aeroelastic maneuvers, dynamic aeroelastic modeling procedures, ground handling and landing analysis procedures.
- Data Collection and Processing: Gather and process data from older analyses, simulations, and tests to ensure accurate and reproduceable load calculations and compliance with safety standards.
- Documentation and Reporting: Help prepare detailed reports and documentation on new load analysis procedures and codes, ensuring all information is clear and accurate for senior level review.
- Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Work closely with various engineering teams to integrate load analysis results into the overall aircraft design and performance evaluations.
- Software Utilization: Learn and use specialized software tools for load analysis and simulation, gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard applications.
What you will learn?
- Understanding of Load Analysis: Gain a deep understanding of how to analyze and calculate aircraft loads.
- Practical Application of Engineering Principles: Apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, enhancing problem-solving skills and engineering acumen.
- Collaboration and Communication Skills: Improve teamwork and communication and presentation abilities.
- Regulatory and Safety Standards: Learn about the regulatory requirements and safety standards that govern aircraft design and operation, ensuring compliance and safety in engineering practices.
How to thrive in this role?
- You are studying aeronautics, aerospace or mechanical engineering
- You have good programming skills, and are already fluent in one of Matlab or Python
- You have strong analytical skills, and you are independent, but you are also a team player who proactively proposes solutions and improvements
- You have working-level proficiency with the English Language
