Projects, Sustaining Program – Engineering Project Management and Product Development
What are your contributions to the team?
- Manage and deliver on time, engineering projects and activities related to major program milestones for new and existing platforms.
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams in the establishment of project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate and harmonize technical engineering change planning with all stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to Bombardier’s engineering practices and knowledge standards, promoting consistency and integrity across projects.
- Collaborate closely with technical experts, business leaders and customer representatives to ensure project compliance with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Establish and manage engineering priorities across multiple projects, perform schedule analyses, and communicate key impacts and risks.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project execution.
- Participate in internal safety and security processes to assess and resolve potential product deficiencies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and provide visibility on budget requirements and resource allocation.
- Develop and present project performance reports to various levels of the organization.
- Coordinate Integrated Product Development Team (IPDT) reviews and manage multi-site engineering activities.
- Oversee formal engineering document releases (drawings, ModSums, compliance documents, service bulletins, etc.).
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold an Engineering degree or relevant technical diploma with equivalent experience.
- You have 5 to 8 years of experience in project management or aerospace engineering.
- You are familiar with Program and Project Management principles and tools.
- You have solid aircraft technical and/or manufacturing experience; experience in structures or systems development is an asset.
- You demonstrate professionalism, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
- You possess excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- You are a proactive and natural leader, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- You are self-motivated, autonomous, and results-driven, with strong problem-solving skills.
- You are technically curious and eager to learn.
- You are proficient in MS Office; experience with MS Excel and MS Project is considered an asset.
