What are your contributions to the team?

  • Lead the Global Aircraft (5500/6500/7500/8000) Propulsion, Fuel & Pneumatics Systems Engineering Team responsible for delivering highly-effective and timely engineering support to the build and test of the Production aircraft HP & LP Ducting, AMS, ECS, Pressurization, Powerplant, APU, FIDEEX, Fuel & FTIS.
  • Develop a high-performance team to timely support root cause identification of Systems issues encountered during Systems installation and/or ground & flight Functional Testing Procedures.
  • Work with internal and external stake holders in defining required design changes and driving the implementation of design solutions
  • Provide Technical leadership and direction to support the resolution of highly integrated, complex systems issues impacting the Final Assembly Line and aircraft certification & deliveries.
  • Using the Achieving Excellence System (AES), establish master plans, develop metrics and institute team governance to provide accurate and relevant reporting of team performance. 
  • Create & enable a positive and collaborative team environment and take concrete steps/actions to keep high level of engagement within the team.
  • Complete performance reviews, identify performance gaps and create/support effective team development, mentoring and coaching plans
  • Attend and present at management meetings; communicate information to employees in a timely manner
  • Set priorities, and manage the communication and harmonization of these priorities
  • Develop good working relationships with various departments within BA and with systems suppliers.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You hold a Bachelor of Engineering Degree and eligibility for Professional Engineer registration. AME license is an asset
  • You have a 5 to 8 years of relevant experience and technical expertise (design/development/integration/testing/certification of power plant, fuel and pneumatic systems) and people management and development
  • You have experience in providing engineering support to Final Assembly/Production Line is an asset
  • You are conversant with design, qualification and certification test requirements of Propulsion, Fuel & Pneumatics systems.
  • You are familiar with Part 25 certification requirements and advisory material.
  • Possesses strong integration skills, in both system partner management and system technical integration
  • You are familiar with Microsoft Office software tools
  • You have strong communication skills, ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
