In your role, you will:

- Provide support to aircraft development phase and/or the aircraft certification phase and /or the aircraft operational in-service phase.

- Calculation, analysis and documentation of certified and /or operational aircraft performance data:
- Generate Performance data for the Flight Manuals and Flight Management Systems (FMS)
- Write reports demonstrating compliance with airworthiness regulations and detailing results of aircraft level tests;

- Provide support to development of the engine performance characteristics ensuring compatibility with the powerplant system and overall aircraft performance requirements
- Understand the aircraft performance and link to engine control system and how those link with the whole aircraft and various sub-systems
- Support to flight testing and wind tunnel testing programs for various BA ongoing programs;
- Support, from an aircraft and engine performance point of view, any in-service issues or new options packages that Bombardier wishes to introduce
- Support aircraft performance data requests from marketing, advanced design, acoustics, systems engineering
- Collaborate within a team to improve tools and processes and share knowledge/information
- Be responsible for a small work package or project, as required
- Participate in major reviews and highlight risks
- Review work prepared by others and recommend approval, provide guidance to new members and act as a resource for colleagues.
- Prepare intermediate to complex plans and recommend changes in specifications

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering, with 5-8 years of aviation experience. Master’s degree would be an asset.

- You have strong programming skills in python, MATLAB, FORTRAN, C#, C++, PV-Wave as well as working knowledge of a UNIX operating system environment
- You have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- You possess strong interpersonal skills in order to work well in a team and interface with other involved stakeholders and management as well as good written and oral communication skills.
- You organized/self-motivated and can work independently and demonstrate initiative to achieve the goals established for you
- You are bilingual (French, English) with strong verbal/written English skills
- You have a good ability to communicate and share information in a clear and efficient manner, both to all involved stakeholders and management.
