Advisor, Talent Management

A member of the Corporate Talent Management team, you will be based in downtown Montreal, and will report to the Global head, Talent and Organizational Effectiveness.

An experienced professional, you will support the team’s objective to develop and support the deployment of a global talent management strategy and to help the organization become a world-class employer.

In your role, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Provide talent management expertise for a number of strategic mandates related to the organizational transformation;

• Develop change management plans to facilitate the transition and support the business in adopting change;

• Develop and champion a shared view of Leadership Development for the purposes of creating a pipeline of future leaders;

• Manage, coordinate and facilitate career development initiatives to support the global Talent strategy;

• Ensure the good functioning of global processes and propose improvements;

• Develop talent management strategies in collaboration with business stakeholders and ensure global implementation (i.e. performance and succession management, diversity and inclusion, etc.);

• Remain responsive to the business segments’ needs in order to ensure that the proposed solutions suit their business requirements and are harmonised throughout the company;

• Partner to build metrics to assess and monitor the effectiveness of talent management initiatives;

• Keep up-to-date with best practices and the most recent market trends; and

• Participate in special projects and complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate, you:

• Have a university diploma in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development or a relevant field. A Master’s degree in one of these disciplines will be considered a valuable asset;

• Possess a minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in Human Resources, including five (5) years in Organizational Development;

• Have designed and implemented talent management strategies in a large company. Experience in a multinational corporation is a definite asset;

• Have strong analytical skills and capacity for creating synergies;

• Excel in an environment undergoing constant transformation;

• Have a proven sense of leadership, show a great spirit of collaboration and are able to influence and to rally your business partners to a common goal;

• Have excellent spoken and written communication skills in French and English;

• Ability to effectively present information to middle and senior management;

• Ability to work independently, think creatively, manage own time, and take initiative to successfully drive projects;

• Are organized and have excellent project management skills;

• Are results oriented;

• Understand and articulate the strategic value of integrated talent management processes and strong business acumen; and

• Have proven ability to prepare effective PowerPoint presentations and to use Word and Excel. Experience with the SuccessFactors software will be considered an asset.
