In your role, you will:
- Lead the Quality Team at our Los Angeles, Moorpark site, including direct leadership of a small team of inspectors, while fostering a culture of quality excellence and accountability across the operation
- Own and continuously strengthen the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring internal, customer, and regulatory requirements are effectively embedded across the business
- Provide clear, regular updates to senior leadership on quality performance, QMS effectiveness, and progress against company quality objectives
- Ensure process and product compliance through effective review, approval, and oversight of work products and quality deliverables
- Lead the site’s quality program in alignment with AS9100, customer requirements, and Bombardier standards, serving as the key point of contact for customer and regulatory audits
- Develop and standardize inspection, verification, and compliance documentation processes that improve consistency, efficiency, and traceability
- Act as the primary customer contact for quality escapes, non-conformances, and issue resolution, building confidence through responsive and solutions-oriented partnership
- Ensure required certifications, qualifications, and training programs are maintained in compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards
- Drive corrective action processes from issue identification through closure, ensuring sustainable solutions and continuous improvement
- Lead the internal audit program and oversee preparation for customer and registrar audits across quality systems and process approvals
- Resolve complex quality issues by interpreting customer, engineering, and regulatory requirements and aligning stakeholders on practical, compliant outcomes
- Ensure procedures, processes, and controls are in place to support the accurate creation, retention, and accessibility of required quality records
How to thrive in this role?
- You have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- You bring 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
- You have experience in aerospace and/or manufacturing inspection environments
- You have a strong working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 quality standards
- AS9100 Lead Auditor certification is preferred
- You understand quality control principles, process control, statistical inspection methods, and blueprint reading
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to apply mathematical, geometric, and mechanical reasoning in practical settings
- You are comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- You are detail-oriented and bring sound judgment, strong analytical capability, and practical decision-making skills
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are confident presenting information to a range of audiences
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office and standard business software tools
- You are a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident in accordance with ITAR requirements
