What are your contributions to the team?

  • Adhere to General Work Requirements
  • Interview business users to review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs
  • Formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies
  • Write detailed description of user needs and application functions
  • Participate in applicable phases of project management involving changes to existing and/or new applications
  • Communicate the status of each phase for assigned projects to IT management, project management office, and affected business unit(s) on a scheduled basis
  • Assist with evaluation of proposed changes to existing and/or new applications to identify potential adverse impact upon operations across multiple sites and area(s)
  • Monitor project activities to ensure project remains on schedule and within approved scope
  • Coordinate the development of an IT application(s) and supporting business processes according to IT specifications
  • Coordinate beta testing, validation by business unit, and implementation of revised and new applications
  • Assist with evaluating whether newly implemented applications and supporting processes are achieving priorities and objectives of assigned business unit(s)

 

How to thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor degree in Technology, Computer Science, Project management or any other field 
  • 5-7 years experience in business modeling, requirements management, analysis and design
  • Experience with Agile Methodology and Lean Software Development
  • Experience in systems analysis and technical design using both object oriented and modular programming modeling
  • Experience interacting with Project Management organizations to complete documentation for various project phases, including both financial and system related
  • Experience building presentations that depict project requirements, project scope, and mock-ups
  • Demonstrated ability to build use cases, story boards, and models that clearly depict process flows relating to specific requirements
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas, and vendors
  • Planning and organizational skills necessary to plan, prioritize, and coordinate tasks across several analysts
  • Facilitation skills necessary to elicit and promote the discussion of ideas with all levels of the organization
  • Training skills necessary to educate employees to comprehend business processes or acquire/enhance skills
  • Ability to plan and execute a training plan for the implementation of a new system
  • Thorough knowledge of IT financial management process (i.e., budget and project funding)
  • Thorough knowledge with Agile Methodology and Lean Software Development
  • Thorough knowledge of IT Change Management and Project Management
  • Understanding of the System Development Life Cycle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
