In your role, you will

•    Establish work assignments for subordinates.
•    Conduct required meetings on schedule in accordance with scheduled guidelines.
•    Enforce company rules and regulations and attendance policy. 
•    Enforce, interpret, and correctly apply the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
•    Perform supervisory responsibilities, for example, hire/fire, disciplinary actions, counseling sessions, proper issuance of disciplinary actions including terminations, and professional development. 
•    Analyze work status in order to determine if production schedule and quality guidelines will be met.
•    Create recovery plans/corrective actions when necessary.
•    Coordinate cross functionally to support the success of the schedule.
•    Ensure financial goals and objectives set by department are met and adhered to
•    Ensure staffing is consistent with budgetary and production requirements. 
•    Coaches direct reports on production goals and quality expectations while providing technical assistance and support.
•    Responsible to ensure that errors within FDC are corrected and employees are paid correctly, including maintenance of overtime equalization per the union contract.
•    Ensure employees receive proper training on company equipment as required by Company and OSHA requirements.
•    Analyze and diagnose equipment problems/malfunctions to expedite corrective procedures and to prevent excessive downtime and interrupted schedules.
•    Incorporate required revisions to products or processes as necessary.
•    Maintain conformance with employee and safety rules and regulations, issuing violation warnings and administer approved disciplinary measures when necessary. 
•    Participate in and coordinate internal programs, including but not limited to, communications, vacation schedules, job analysis and evaluation, employee performance reviews, and wage administration.
•    Maintain current training with respect to technical and supervisory skills by attending training classes, special technical and administration courses, seminars, exhibits and trade shows as necessary.
•    Represent the Company when meeting with customers and vendors.

As our ideal candidate

•    Typically, a minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing experience.
•    Typically, a minimum of 3 years leadership / Supervisory or Lead experience.
•    Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, all levels of management team, and other departments.
•    Demonstrate strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to develop people and build a strong team.
•    Strong Verbal and written communications skills.
•    Training skills necessary to provide employee training.
•    Planning and organization skills necessary to plan, prioritize and coordinate workload of assigned employees within a multiple project setting.
•    Union experience preferred. 
•    Control of Budget.
