What are your contributions to the team?

  • Must have extensive knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing. Candidate will coordinate, control, and maintain activities related to tooling & metrology activities Understanding of tool design concepts, tool design estimates and span times.

  • Experience with metrology equipment, namely laser trackers, portable arms, or laser radar
  • Experience with measurement software, preferably Spatial Analyzer
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications with strong emphasis in MS Excel
  • Develop and document best practice methods/procedures to effectively support manufacturing technology process development.
  • Evaluate and interpret engineering models, engineering GD&T intent, and laser inspection results.
  • Manage daily metrology workflow to drive efficiency and optimal utilization.
  • Develop solutions to complex manufacturing problems which require the regular use of ingenuity, problem solving and innovative thinking.
  • Assist in developing test plans and capability assessments for new inspection technologies and processes.
  • Perform measurements using portable metrology systems such as laser trackers, laser radar, and FARO arm.
  • Maintain inspection records and nonconformance reports as required with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Be able to read and understand engineering and schematic drawings, sketches etc.
  • Data collection and statistical skills preferred.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You must have at minimum 3 years of experience in Metrology, Methods, Material Planning, or related area.
  •  You must have Knowledge of Project Management principles. 
  • You must have a broad knowledge and understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • You must be able to coordinate, control and maintain tooling-related activities and metrology activities.
  • You must have an understanding of tool design concepts, tool design estimates and turnaround times.

This includes identifying and managing the lifecycle to be used, applying it to the user-centered design process, formulating the project team, and efficiently guiding the team through all phases until project completion.
