What are your contributions to the team?
As an Engineer, Quality Assurance in the Quality division and Quality department at Red Oak, reporting to the Project Manager, you are responsible for interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, coordinating across teams and regulatory agencies, and ensuring high standards while driving continuous improvement in processes and quality systems.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Coordinate and communicate with all levels within the organization, as well as the regulatory agencies
- Demonstrate general skills required for this posting
- Adhere to General Work Requirements
- Identify non-value added activities and suggest improvement methods
- Assist with designing and maintaining quality system policies and procedures
- Review internal/external customer requirements and apply quality systems to meet specific contractual requirements
- Evaluate certain customer corrective action progress, work with the customers and coordinate activities as they relate to the task
- Support corrective action process and coordinate activities as they relate to the task
- Design and maintain quality system policies and procedures
- Work both functionally and cross functionally to support issue resolution
- Prepare detailed presentations in support of technical reviews
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience
- You have 2+ years’ experience in Aviation/Aerospace Quality or Manufacturing
- You have strong working knowledge of governing regulatory policies
- You have strong knowledge of MS Office
- You have excellent skills in data collection and analysis to identify systemic issues
- You have strong experience in root cause and corrective action and the use of tools such as DMAIC, 8D, 5-Whys, Six-Sigma, etc.
