What are your contributions to the team?
- Planning and coordinating the progress of all Loads group activities, ensuring schedules are met, risks are identified, and mitigation plans are in place;
- Interacting with various organizational units to understand their needs and establish action plans;
- Deploying and organizing resources to meet the requirements of various projects/programs;
- Ensuring effective information flows within the department by organizing weekly meetings;
- Identifying staffing needs and leading recruitment activities;
- Managing financial resources: establishing budgets and monitoring expenditure;
- Ensuring an appropriate level of quality is delivered for each output;
- Ensuring that Loads processes and models are aligned across Bombardier sites;
- Defining individual expectations and objectives for each employee under your supervision;
- Conducting performance evaluations and helping define individual development plans;
- Providing technical expertise, mentoring, and training to ensure employees meet their objectives, develop their skills, and fulfill their commitments;
- Ensuring the health of the Knowledge Center and driving continuous improvement, growth, and competitiveness of the Aircraft Loads and Dynamics group;
- Promoting synergy between all the Loads groups within Bombardier working in close collaboration with the Loads & Dynamics manager
- Ensuring all aspects of the department are properly managed and that employees are engaged.
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering;
- You have more than 15 years of relevant experience;
- You possess deep knowledge in Loads;
- You have extensive knowledge in aircraft design (Flight Mechanics, Control Laws, Stress, Structures, Mass Properties, Control Systems, and Certification Rules);
- You have experience managing teams;
- You have strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence others;
- You are a team player and promote a collaborative approach to achieving company objectives;
- You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- You have strong organizational skills;
- You perform well under pressure;
- You are eligible to obtain authorization to work on U.S. defense-related controlled programs (ITAR clearance).
