What are your contributions to the team?
- Supervise a group of salaried employees. Establish priorities, plan, and follow up accordingly.
- Manage each employee’s performance (PMP) and guide their development (PDP).
- Support the interview and selection process for new hires and seasonal interns.
- Provide technical and non-technical leadership, coaching, mentoring, and training to your team.
- Participate in annual budget-related exercises.
- Build plans linked to various business initiatives and execute them.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization through various governance forums.
- Work with different functions to resolve technical issues affecting the product line across multiple shifts (e.g., days, evenings, weekends).
- Ensure your team maintains open communication and collaboration between functions.
- Ensure the team follows airworthiness regulations as well as the Bombardier Engineering System.
- Ensure your team has a strong understanding of MRB principles (Material Review Board).
- Support technical discussions and make decisions regarding final solutions and the way forward.
How to thrive in this role?
- You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a minimum of 10 years of aerospace experience.
- You have extensive knowledge of the MRB system.
- You can balance the management of deliverables as well as your team’s commitments.
- You have a professional attitude and are able to deal with both internal and external customers.
- You have strong communication skills and excellent time management skills.
- You have strong logical and reasoning abilities, and you are analytical, innovative, and open-minded.
- You are self-motivated and a team player.
