Job Summary:
Experienced and highly organized Ramp Coordinator with at least 5 years of experience in a Fixed Base Operator (FBO) environment at Seletar Airport. The ideal candidate will oversee daily ramp operations, ensure efficient aircraft handling, and maintain the highest standards of safety, service, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ramp Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate and perform all duties related to FBO ramp operations, including aircraft marshaling, parking, towing, and pushback (airside and within facility)
- Ensure safe, efficient, and timely aircraft turnaround in compliance with all safety and security requirements
- Assist flight coordinators with flight handling and coordination when required
- Handle department communication tools including duty phone, walkie-talkie, VHF radio
2. Equipment & Facility Management
- Operate motorized and non-motorized equipment as authorized
- Maintain ramp vehicles and equipment (e.g., chocks, cones, carpets) in clean and serviceable condition
- Monitor and maintain stock levels in the storeroom; ensure supplies are well-organized and properly logged
- Maintain and update operational manuals, logs, and documentation
3. Safety, Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure full compliance with aviation safety and security standards
- Report any irregularities to management and take appropriate action as directed
- Maintain high situational awareness and adhere to company SOPs at all times
4. Customer Service & Stakeholder Management
- Deliver excellent customer service with a strong focus on VIP and business aviation clients
- Maintain positive working relationships with customers, crew members, and airport authorities
- Perform support and errand duties for crew and company (e.g., laundry, groceries) as required
General Duties
- Work independently in a high-pressure, constantly changing environment
- Adapt to different work locations, schedules, and team dynamics
- Maintain cleanliness and organization across all ramp areas and equipment
- Carry out any additional duties as assigned by management
Work Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation ramp services, preferably within an FBO environment
- Strong knowledge of ramp handling procedures and safety practices
- Service-oriented with a pleasant and outgoing personality
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with people of all nationalities
- Physically fit and capable of performing baggage handling duties
- Able to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
Education Requirements
- Minimum Secondary education
- Good command of written and spoken English
Additional Requirements
- Valid Class 4 Driving License with a good driving record
- Ability to operate under pressure independently while maintaining high service standards
