What are your contributions to the team?

The Predictive Maintenance & Data Science team within the Connected Aircraft program is seeking a talented, business-oriented specialist to bridge AI-driven maintenance insights with our global Customer Support organization. In this role, you will help unlock the full potential of condition-based and predictive maintenance for our market-leading fleet of business jets. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Analyze Connected Aircraft data, including Aircraft Health Monitoring System (AHMS) and maintenance data, to support the identification of degradation patterns and emerging issues across aircraft components 
  • Collaborate with data scientists and system engineers to develop Condition Monitoring Events (CMEs), using both rule-based methods and AI models across various aircraft systems and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) 
  • Act as a key liaison with Aftermarket teams, including Technical Services, the Customer Response Center (CRC), and Field Service Representatives (FSRs), to ensure insights are actionable and continuously refined through operational feedback 
  • Monitor fleet health and provide near real-time operational support using advanced cloud-based tools and digital applications 
  • Document insights into a version control system and support user enablement and training for our customer-facing Predictive Maintenance application 
  • Partner with core engineering and suppliers to enhance existing systems and contribute to new product development initiatives 
  • Support the evolution of maintenance practices (MSG-3), promoting the transition from scheduled to condition-based maintenance strategies 
  • Represent Bombardier in maintenance-related working groups and customer advisory committees 

How to thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, computer science, or related field 
  • Experience in data-driven predictive analytics and/or business intelligence using Python and SQL in cloud environments (e.g. AWS) 
  • Experience in predictive maintenance (asset) 
  • Experience with aircraft systems, maintenance, or operations, solving real-world problems (asset) 
  • Results-driven, curious, open-minded, and able to work autonomously 
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills in English; French is considered an asset
