You will act as the key point of contact within the organization for any request or project related to the internal customer you represent. You must keep an overall view of the Program, understand its strategic alignment, and maintain close relationships with the various departments that represent your customer. You will be responsible for conducting negotiations and coordinating all activities related to the preparation of feasibility analysis files. In your daily activities, you will collaborate closely with members from different functions linked to your assigned projects, as well as other business units and suppliers. In addition, you must ensure that logistical plans and change‑management plans are in place to align deliverables and processes.

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Manage a portfolio of projects for the “Structures” commodity across various Bombardier programs.
  • Ensure your projects adhere to budget requirements.
  • Work closely with colleagues from different functions to initiate, investigate, evaluate, prioritize, and implement solutions to resolve issues.
  • Create and monitor project schedules to achieve program objectives.
  • Assess the commercial impacts following technical change requests and ensure their prioritization.
  • Prepare business case analyses (financial impacts, forecasts, and scenarios), present them to the management team, and provide your recommendations.
  • Control project costs (labor, material, and other direct costs), and negotiate with suppliers to ensure adherence to requirements and timelines.
  • Ensure internal and external governance of your projects in order to provide visibility to all involved stakeholders.
  • Work in a multifunctional environment where you will interact with and present to team members at all management levels.
  • Identify potential issues, manage associated risks by developing corrective actions to mitigate the risk and reduce impact.
  • Coordinate and ensure the quality of various departmental governance activities and ensure adherence to schedules.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or an equivalent field. A graduate degree or professional certifications is considered an asset.
  • You have at least five (5) years of professional experience in project management or program management in the aerospace industry or in a complex manufacturing environment. Ideally, you have eight (8) years or more of experience.
  • You are recognized for your informal leadership abilities, project management skills, and your interest in commercial negotiation.
  • You demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills; you are able to work daily in both French and English in order to collaborate with colleagues around the world.
  • You possess strong organizational and time‑management skills and demonstrate autonomy.
  • You have solid knowledge of operational and financial management.
  • You are proficient with Teams, Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
  • You are able to work on‑site in Montreal at least twice a week.
