Buyer - Material & Work Planner

What are your contributions to the team?

• Prepare orders for purchases of materials, equipment and other items
• Establish and maintain good commercial and contractual relationships with geographically dispersed strategic suppliers
• Support the team in the evaluation of the choice of supplier
• Identify, analyze and materialize cost reduction opportunities
• Provide support to different sites in all types of purchase request
• Ensure a rigorous follow-up of each request in order to minimize delays
• Receive items and approve finance invoices
• Participate n the governance of the projects and adequately maintain the performance indicators of these projects according to the material ordered
• Interact with several multifunctional teams (Production, Procurement, Methods,Finance)
• Support the integration of new tools into the Bombardier manufacturing system.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have experience in materials management or purchasing management
• You have experience or knowledge of SAP, Maximo and Ariba an asset
• You have the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings an asset
• You have a strong sense of ethics and are customer focused
• You have good analytical, planning, problem-solving and interpersonal skills are essential
• You can work in French and English (spoken and written)
