What are your contributions to the team?

  • Collaborate with a team of senior engineers in the design, manufacturing, and commissioning of system test rigs, structural test rigs, wind tunnel test models, or experimental installations on flight test vehicles.
  • Execute the mechanical design of parts and assemblies of development projects or for in service aircraft fleet support.
  • Contribute to the documentation of design processes and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop your skills in 3D design and mechanical analysis.
  • Expand your knowledge of measuring instruments, sensors, and data acquisition systems.
  • Work closely with testing and manufacturing activities.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You are currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering and have completed 2 years of your program.
  • You are skilled in 3D and 2D mechanical design, particularly with CATIA V5 and Siemens NX software, and you are proficient with the MS Office suite.
  • You have a strong interest in the aerospace industry and design.
  • You are eligible to apply to the Controlled Goods Program authorization (CGD and ITAR).
  • You have excellent communication skills and good judgment.
  • You enjoy working and collaborating as part of a team.
  • You can work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • You are proficient in French and English (written and spoken).
  • You can commute a few times a week to Bombardier offices in the Montreal area.

  • Virtual or on site 

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
