What are your contributions to the team?
- Perform electrical design work on experimental projects related to the development of new aircraft. Our department, Bombardier Experimental (BEX), provide to internal and external clients expertise in various testing disciplines for the development and certification of new aircraft, as well as support for in-service fleets.
- Assist Senior electrical engineers and participate in the design, manufacturing, and commissioning phases of experimental test rigs for systems and structures.
- Participate in preliminary and critical design review meetings with Bombardier Specialist for ongoing projects.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives in continuous improvement.
- Learn the use and application of measurement instrumentation and equipment used in an experimental testing environment, as well as information compilation.
- Gain knowledge in the selection, installation, and validation of industrial controls such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), AC/Servo Drives, and automation programming.
- Learn to use design & drafting software in the field of electrical engineering
How to thrive in this role?
- You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and have completed at least 2 years
- You have Knowledge or strong interest of design software such as AutoCad, E-Plan and knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel
- You possess functional knowledge in the use and structure of databases and common programming languages such as LabView, C++ and Visual Basic
- You have a strong interest in the aerospace industry and are seeking an opportunity to work with a dynamic and multidisciplinary engineering team.
