Short Description
The Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and CAD Solutions team leads the development, deployment and adoption of the engineering solutions required to modernize Bombardier's product development ecosystem. In this role, you will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for replacing legacy ENOVIA and CATIA solutions with Teamcenter, Designcenter (NX) and Multi-CAD capabilities, while enabling the processes, data migration, integrations, training and user support required for sustainable adoption. You will work closely with Engineering, Programs, Information Technology and business partners to deliver an integrated digital engineering foundation that supports current aircraft programs and future product development transformation.
What are your contributions to the team?
• Lead, develop and mobilize a multidisciplinary team of PLM and CAD solutions delivery and project management professionals.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of the PLM and CAD transformation portfolio, including Teamcenter, Designcenter (NX), Capital, Multi-CAD and related engineering capabilities.
• Drive the replacement of legacy ENOVIA and CATIA solutions in alignment with the integrated program roadmap, aircraft programs needs and enterprise priorities.
• Establish and maintain integrated delivery plans covering requirements, solutions design, configuration, development, testing, deployment, training, hypercare and transition to support.
• Ensure business and technical requirements are translated into scalable solutions that favour standard capabilities and limit customization.
• Lead the definition, prioritization and delivery of capability releases and deployment waves in collaboration with Engineering functions, aircraft programs and Information Technology.
• Coordinate solutions architecture and system integrations across PLM, CAD, ERP and other engineering platforms to support a coherent digital thread.
• Manage the team budget, resource plan, supplier and partner contributions, delivery commitments and overall performance of the PLM and CAD portfolio.
• Lead risk, issue, dependency and opportunity management; ensure timely escalation, mitigation and decision-making through the appropriate governance forums.
• Establish performance indicators, dashboards and executive reporting that provide clear visibility on scope, schedule, cost, readiness, adoption and operational risk.
• Partner with Organizational Change Management, Information Technology and functional leaders to ensure methodologies, communications, training, super-user networks and post-deployment support are ready for each rollout.
• Engage aircraft Programs, Engineering functions, Information Technology, Operations, Procurement, suppliers and other stakeholders to align priorities, secure resources and resolve delivery roadblocks.
• Build a strong, inclusive and accountable team; coach employees, strengthen technical and delivery capabilities, and support professional growth.
• Provide leadership for the evolution of PLM and CAD solutions beyond legacy replacement, enabling advanced digital engineering capabilities and continuous improvement of the product development ecosystem.
How to thrive in this role?
• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent field; a graduate degree is an asset.
• You have at least ten (10) years of relevant experience in engineering, product development, PLM/CAD solutions delivery, digital transformation or complex program execution.
• You have experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams in a matrix organization.
• You have demonstrated experience delivering large-scale engineering technology or business transformation initiatives from requirements through deployment and operational stabilization.
• You understand aircraft product development processes, systems engineering, engineering data and configuration management.
• You have experience with process management, and understand the interdependencies between people, processes, data and technology.
• You have knowledge of PLM and CAD platforms and practices; experience with Teamcenter, Designcenter (NX), Capital or equivalent solutions is a strong asset.
• You understand solution lifecycle disciplines, including architecture, requirements, configuration, integration, testing, data migration, deployment, change management, training and support.
• You possess strong program and portfolio management capabilities, including governance, schedule, budget, resource, supplier, risk and benefits management.
• You can balance urgent legacy-replacement commitments with the progressive development of strategic digital engineering capabilities.
• You build strong relationships and credibility with senior leaders, technical experts, business partners and external suppliers, and can influence without direct authority.
• You lead your team and your colleagues with clarity, accountability and inclusivity.
• You communicate clearly both in writing and verbally, can synthesize complex technical and business information, and are comfortable presenting to executive governance forums.
• You are fluent in French and English.
