What are your contributions to the team?
- Analyze the performance and reliability of automated manufacturing cells.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend automated and robotic solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare technical specifications, statements of work, and conduct the required engineering analyses.
- Provide technical support throughout the procurement and acquisition process for automated solutions.
- Develop and execute rigorous test plans to validate system performance and reliability.
- Provide technical support during the implementation of new systems and the continuous improvement of existing processes.
- Diagnose equipment failures and operational issues, and develop effective corrective actions and solutions.
- Leverage your industrial automation expertise to support maintenance teams in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Contribute to the evolution of integrated production lines by supporting the adoption of new Industry 4.0 technologies and concepts.
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a college diploma (DEC) or a bachelor's degree in Automated Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another relevant field.
- You have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in industrial automation.
- You have knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), field instrumentation, human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and motion/control systems. Experience with robotics and machine vision is considered an asset.
- You also possess a foundational understanding of computer networks, structured programming languages (VBA, C#), and preferably databases (SQL).
- You have a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and are able to read and interpret various types of technical drawings and schematics.
- You are able to learn and comply with regulations and standards related to the aerospace industry.
- You possess strong analytical skills and are capable of developing and implementing effective technical solutions.
- You have a basic understanding of project management and work effectively in a team environment.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
- You are passionate about achieving technological excellence.
- You demonstrate rigor, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality.
